Trading board in-game
spam, spam, spam.... never enough spam. Just be sure to mute local and trade guild channels if you don't want to look at all that. Seriously though,it is waaay too much.
Why not get rid of the trade channel, and set up a trade board. People spam cause they want to be seen. Instead, just post a message on a trade board, that will remain as long as you are in town. Trading is not the only spam you see, and people should really post on the party search, rather then spamming LFG, or LFR or GLFM

OMG! Thats a brilliant idea!
And we could call it the party search, and it could only be used in town.
And 'P' could be its hotkey!
Oh oh! and at the bottom of the party window, there could be a gross yellow button that says search to encourage people to use it!
How did ANet not think of this?? GENIOUS

All sarcasm aside, this idea might work if it was expanded. How about if we just had a bulletin board off to the corner of the major cities, and then you could pay 100g to post a message there saying "WTS 20/20 Sundering Crystaline Sword of Fortitude, +30, 15^50, 100k + your soul, PM John Doe". For 100g per town, you would leave that message up for say.. a week? Or perhaps indefinately, and then you could cancel it at any time once someone contacted you and bought/sold you the item.
They could organize it like Guru's own auction system; Frontpage (displaying high ticket items or items about to expire)> Weapons> Swords> Crystaline, in this case. And then you could peruse it at your convenience. I sort of had fun looking through the auctions on here, but sadly the loading times are prohibative.

Oh, definately picked up on the sarcasem. I would have joined in if not for the fact I don't like making post that might possibly be viewed as insulting.
And yeah, I know my little idea would get swamped pretty quick, and also that it had probably been posted several hundred time before, hence why I hadn't made an actual post about it.
